Batukaras tolerant and easy-going. However, please note that BK is not a wild party place!
It is also not the easiest place to get to!
Getting to Batukaras:
Having your own transport here is most convenient.Btukaras is around a 9 hour drive from Jakarta or Yogyakarta, or 7 hours from Bandung.
Do drive here via Banjar as the roads are much better (and straighter) than over the hills.
We can arrange motorbike/moped rental by the day or week.
The closeset train station is Sideraja.
The fastest way to get here is to fly on SusiAir from Halim, Jakarta to Nusawiru Airport. We can arrange pick up from Jakarta, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Banjar, Sideraja or Nusa Wiru.
Lego Paris beach is the main beach of Batukaras.
It is just 5 minutes drive from Melati House
Batukaras Bay
The beach is great for exploring rocks, building sandcastles and longboard surfing.
Beach mats, boogie boards, inner tubes and surfboards areavailable for daily rent.
Banana Boats appear on the weekend and public holidays.
Every July, the Fishing Festival takes place.
